Facial rejuvenation Acupuncture

Cosmetic, or facial, acupuncture is a harmonious blend of traditional techniques and modern technology designed to support your skin and enhance your natural beauty.

The face is described in some religions as being the way to observe someone's spirit. It is through the face, and particularly the eyes, that we can see someone's "shen men" or spiritual brightness. Although we may not always appreciate how our faces look, they are often a beautiful reflection of the lives that we have lived. Their markings often tell a story of the people we are or the people we have become/are born to be.

That being said not everyone likes how they look. Are you looking to address concerns like fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, scarring, puffy or dark circles under the eyes, or frown lines? Cosmetic facial acupuncture might be the answer you've been searching for.

What is Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture?

Facial acupuncture harnesses the wisdom of traditional practices and applies them to the face.

By using thin, incredibly small, needles are able to bring the bodies attention to the face and soften things such as wrinkles or redness. Often these marks are a sign of repeated movements or stretches, or responses to our emotions, which become stuck. By drawing attention to these areas through needles we are able to release the tension that we can hold there.

It can really help things such as:

  • Wrinkles or any unwanted lines

  • Scarring (I can personally vouch for it's effectiveness here)

  • Puffy eyes

  • Any discolouration, such as redness, or pigmentations

  • Frown lines or crows feet (Crows feet aren't always seen as a bad thing - it means we smile and laugh a lot!)

FAQs

There are often a lot of questions that can arise before a treatment. Opposite are a few that I tend to get on a regular basis other than ‘Does it hurt?’ to which the answer is that it shouldn’t. Sometimes you might feel the needle go in or a range of sensations but it should never be painful.

  • Face Reading: This ancient practice, rooted in Chinese tradition, allows us to diagnose not only external but also internal health issues and emotional concerns by observing specific facial signs. By analysing different areas of your face, we can tailor our treatments to address specific problems:

Puffiness under the eyes: Linked to kidney deficiency.

Double chin: Often related to an inclination towards indulgence but detrimental to the Spleen's ability to maintain muscle tone.

Droopiness of the eyelids: Indicative of Spleen deficiency.

    Cheek wrinkles: Associated with grief.

  • The tiny needles help this through the following mechanism. They not only stimulate acupuncture points but also create minor traumas, prompting the skin's natural healing response. This response includes the production of white blood cells (leucocytes) and collagen, essential for skin rejuvenation.

  • As the markings on our faces often are a result of a long history, it's important to note that facial acupuncture is a process that unfolds gradually over multiple sessions. While the results aren't always immediate, the benefits can be worth the wait. A lot of patients do feel the difference from the first session though.
